The raging sensation Muay Tai fighter Gina Carano is taking the Mixed Martial Arts world by storm. With her Muay Tai fighting background and devastating kicks, Gina has posted an amazing 7 win 1 loss professional MMA record, and also holds a 12 win 1 loss Amateur Muay Tai Fighting record. Standing at a towering 5`8 and a whopping 155 pounds Gina has taken the MMA world by storm and has become the first female to headline a main event in MMA history. Although the sport is relatively new, there are still plenty of people who oppose female competition in the sport. They see it as barbaric and a bit vulgar. While others see it as a great opportunity to see the sport expand and grow for more women to compete in the US and overseas. People it’s time to let go of these old traditions you have and expand your mind to a new era. I am excited to see female competition in all sports no matter how brutal because that is their choice. We as close minded people shouldn’t be the judge on if a female can compete in a fighting event or not. If you see it as “not lady like” then turn the channel and don’t support it, but it’s time to turn the page and expand our horizon because anyone has the right to do whatever they like.

Wow! Interesting blog about Gina. I am not a big fan of kick-boxing or any kind of martial arts competition fighting that involves a woman. There is something barbaric about a woman kicking another woman in the mouth with her foot. Unless she is using this technique as a form of protection (theft, rape or robbery), I’m just not sure how to justify this type of a competitve sport for a woman. So un-lady like. I’m all for strong women but this is a little over the top. I’m not sure if you guys would like to have a girlfriend who can kick the stuffin out of you and your male friends.
LOL, very interesting view point. I don’t know if it’s not so lady like now a days. The way I see it if she wants to compete than I’m all for it, and as far are the guys are concerned, they better not get on their girlfriends bad side, or they’ll be in for a mean right hook!
